If you have a house, you probably have carpet. This carpet will benefit from a more than a once in a while vacuuming, so you'll have to either rent one of those crazy looking devices from a grocery store, or call one of the many companies that specialize in carpet cleaning.

Teasdale Fenton made it very easy to get the carpet cleaned and every aspect was quick and painless. Scheduling was easy and the person was on time and worked very fast to get the job done. Check their website for coupons and specials. I had four rooms and a stairwell cleaned for about $120. This is a small price to pay for something I will probably only do once a year. The difference in the carpet was tremendous. Stains and discolorations are gone and the carpet almost looks new.

If you have your carpets cleaned, have some fans ready to speed up the drying process and try to limit your walking on the carpet during the drying period.
