The customer requested emergency restoration services after a water damage loss breached their finished basement, saturating carpeted living areas, a bedroom, and adjoining utility storage spaces. Standing water and migrating moisture threatened bedroom furniture, storage contents, and exposed structural wall cavities, requiring immediate intervention to halt material degradation.
We immediately implemented an extensive water mitigation and content management program by carefully sorting and transferring vulnerable personal belongings, bedding, and bedroom contents out of harm's way, followed by extracting standing water from the concrete floors and affected carpeting. Our crew performed targeted source-area cleanup in the utility room around the plumbing stacks and wet fiberglass insulation, pulled up ruined carpet and padding to expose the damp concrete slab, and deployed an optimized drying loop consisting of industrial low-profile air movers and dehumidification equipment to safely pull moisture out of the subfloor and surrounding structural framing.
