The customer required urgent emergency mitigation after a basement water loss caused widespread damage across their carpeted recreational areas, mechanical rooms, and finished walls. Because the family has a young baby with immune system deficiencies, they needed professional, high-standard containment, sanitization, and controlled demolition to keep the home pristine and thoroughly eliminate all environmental contaminants.
We obtained insurance approval and executed a meticulous cleanroom mitigation and controlled demolition strategy, beginning by safely cleaning, wiping down, and transferring sensitive household contents into unaffected containment areas to prevent cross-contamination. Our team performed comprehensive demolition by pulling up contaminated carpeting and pad—including sections tracking into the main recreational room—and removing water-damaged drywall along structural walls pre-marked with blue tape. After completing 95% of the heavy demolition and cleaning up cosmetic tight spots, we stabilized the environment with structural dehumidifiers and air scrubbers, establishing a clean field prepared for a final detailed wipe down and complete biological wash.
