The customer contacted us after the electrical breaker to her sump pump tripped unnoticed for several hours. This mechanical failure caused a major water backup, sending approximately 100 to 200 gallons of water rushing across both the finished and unfinished areas of her basement.
Our team responded promptly to mitigate the damage by performing thorough water extraction across the concrete floors and saturated carpeting using specialized extraction wands, followed by the application of a professional antimicrobial treatment to prevent mold growth. To ensure deep structural drying, we executed a controlled demolition to remove approximately 50 feet of impacted baseboards on the wet walls, inspected a damaged door, and verified the moisture levels of the exterior walls. Finally, we established an advanced drying profile by deploying 10 commercial air movers and 2 heavy-duty dehumidifiers, floated the saturated carpets to accelerate airflow, and safely repositioned the customer's furniture and basement contents to prevent secondary property damage.
