Job completed for Ampudia, Rickie

Completion date: May 28, 2026

Location: Columbus, OH

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer contacted us for emergency restoration services after severe regional storms caused catastrophic flooding in their unfinished basement. Heavy stormwater backup resulted in roughly 14 inches of standing water across the entire concrete floor, completely submerging utility bases, endangering the water heater and HVAC furnace installations, and saturating stored belongings.

Solutions provided:

We executed an intensive, large-scale water extraction and environmental decontamination protocol. We began by deploying industrial submersible trash pumps and heavy-duty truck-mounted extraction lines to rapidly pump out the 14 inches of standing stormwater from the subterranean space. Once the bulk water was cleared down to the concrete subfloor, a technician utilized a professional extraction wand to remove the remaining surface puddles and slick mud residue left behind by the storm runoff. Because stormwater is classified as Category 3 "black water" and carries highly hazardous biological contaminants, we thoroughly treated the entire concrete floor, exposed foundation blocks, and structural posts with a heavy application of an EPA-approved antimicrobial biocide. This broad-spectrum sanitation process kills pathogens and eliminates the immediate threat of mold and mildew growth. Finally, we set up high-capacity commercial LGR dehumidifiers and positioned targeted structural air movers to aggressively pull bound moisture from the concrete slab and overhead joists, stabilizing the property's indoor relative humidity.

Teasdale Fenton responded to a flooded lower level due to a failed sump pump within 90 minutes of being called on a Friday night. Corey and Zack efficiently cleared what needed to be moved out of the way and then removed the water. They set up fans and a large dehumidifier. The next day a team came out to check on everything and measured for dampness.

We had a pipe burst in our attic over a weekend and called Teasdale- Fenton. They sent someone out same-day to quote us on cleanup from the water leak and sent a team out the following day to remove wet insulation and leave Fans to dry everything out. Before removing the fans they moisture tested the whole area. Very pleased with their prompt and professional service.
