The customer required emergency assistance after a plumbing failure under a bathroom vanity caused water to pool, destroying the cabinet's base and kickplate, before leaking downward to saturate the basement walls, concrete subfloor, and carpeted areas.
We performed targeted demolition by removing the ruined vanity kickplate and making a clean flood cut along the basement drywall to expose the framing. We then applied a professional antimicrobial treatment to the exposed wall studs using a compression sprayer, extracted standing water from the basement carpet with a commercial-grade weighted unit, and deployed high-velocity air movers alongside an LGR dehumidifier to float the carpet and aggressively dry the structure.
