The customer experienced a significant water leak originating from their fridge supply line, resulting in water damage to the basement ceiling, stairwell wall, and hardwood floor underneath the refrigerator. This incident necessitated the filing of an insurance claim for property restoration.

Our team conducted an initial inspection, documented the extent of the water damage, and assisted the customer in filing an insurance claim, including obtaining adjuster contact information. Walls were taped off to delineate wet areas and identify necessary demolition. Work authorization was secured, and detailed pictures and moisture readings were taken. Drying equipment, including dehumidifiers and air movers, was strategically placed in the basement and kitchen to initiate the drying process. Hydro day 1 procedures were completed, and scans were uploaded to Encircle. Subsequently, the hardwood floor beneath the fridge was tented, and approximately 30 square feet of wet drywall was removed from the stairwell wall and recreation area ceiling. Contents were covered and protected, and additional air movers were deployed. All demolition and cleaning tasks were completed, and the job reached its final drying stage. The dehumidifier was removed from the kitchen, and while the floor returned to a dry standard, warping was noted under the refrigerator.
